Mr. Pen Bible Journaling: Why These Black Ink Pens Are My Favorite!

Hey everyone, welcome back to Mr. Pen! My name’s Anna, and today I’m excited to share one of my all-time favorite products from Mr. Pen—the Precise Mr. Pen Black Ink Pens. I’m going to highlight how they perform, how I use them, and share some tips and tricks. So let’s dive into today’s video!

These pens have become my go-to for Bible journaling. After trying so many pens, I can confidently say these are my absolute favorite! The best part? They don’t bleed through your Bible pages, and they’re perfect for taking precise notes. Whether it’s in my Bible, a notebook, or a journal, these pens are hands-down the best I’ve ever used. Let me show you how I love to use them in my Bible!

How I Use Mr. Pen Black Ink Pens in My Bible

Today, I’m going to be using the Precise Mr. Pen Black Ink Pens in the Hosanna Revival ESV Shiloh Notetaking Bible. This Bible is beautiful, and it’s perfect for Bible journaling. We’ll be studying Joshua 6, the famous story of the walls of Jericho coming down.

Before I dive into the passage, I like to start by highlighting the scripture with my Mr. Pen Chisel Tip Highlighters. These highlighters are smooth and vibrant, making them great for highlighting key passages. Once that’s done, I go in with my black ink pens to underline, take notes, and add any other thoughts or reflections that the Lord is speaking to me.

Let’s jump into the story!

Joshua 6:1-23: The Walls of Jericho Fall

Let’s begin by reading Joshua 6:1-23. This is the story of when the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho and God caused the walls to fall down flat after they shouted. It’s a story of obedience and faith in God’s promises.

“Now Jericho was shut up inside and outside because of the people of Israel. None went out, and none came in. And the Lord said to Joshua, ‘See, I have given Jericho into your hands, with its king and mighty men of valor. You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. You shall do this for six days. Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of ram’s horns before the ark. On the seventh day, you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.’”

As I read through this, I like to change the color of my highlighter every few verses just to make the page look nice and aesthetic. It's a personal preference, but I find that it adds a little more visual interest to my Bible pages.

These highlighters go on so smoothly! I can easily go around the text without any issue, and the ink flows evenly. Plus, they’re non-bleed, so I don’t have to worry about the highlighter showing through the other side of the page.

Highlighting Key Verses and Reflection

As we continue through the passage, I use my pens to underline key parts that really speak to me. For example, in verse 5, it says:

“When they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, then all the people shall shout with a great shout, and the walls of the city will fall down flat.”

This verse stands out to me because it shows the power of obedience and faith. God commanded the people to march and be silent, and He promised the walls would fall down. When they obeyed, the walls did indeed fall!

As I continue reading, I underline more parts that I find significant. In verse 11, it says:

“So he caused the ark of the Lord to circle the city, going about it once. And they came into the camp and spent the night in the camp.”

The Israelites followed God’s instructions faithfully. On the second day, they marched again, and the process repeated for six days. And then, on the seventh day, God’s promise was fulfilled.

Drawing and Reflecting on God’s Word

Another thing I love to do is reflect on the passage by drawing. For example, in this passage, I felt inspired to write, “He is breaking down my walls.” I’ve written this in the margin of my Bible, alongside a small drawing of a wall being broken down.

For me, Bible journaling is more than just underlining verses; it’s about letting the word of God speak to me and reflecting it back in my journal. When I feel stuck, I know that God is in the business of breaking down barriers and guiding me toward victory.

Why I Love Mr. Pen Black Ink Pens

These pens are amazing for all aspects of Bible journaling. They allow me to take notes, underline verses, and even draw when inspired. What I love most is how smooth and consistent the ink is. I can trust that these pens won’t smudge or bleed through the pages of my Bible, which is so important.
